Nicole Ari Parker, an American actress who has been featured in films and TV, and in stage productions, is known for portraying Teri Joseph, a fiery lawyer in the show Showtime's Soul Food. After a single semester at the University, Contractor went to an audition on a call-to-action basis for the show Pericles in the highly regarded and renowned Stratford Shakespeare Festival [Ontario, Canada and got the role of lead. The actor was invited to take part in the conservatory program, where the top eight men and four women are accepted for a course lasting 20 weeks on classical theater which she was eager to take. Contractor was guaranteed a spot in the following season of plays and landed the role in the role of Hermia In A Midsummer Night's Dream.
